Trend spotting: A luxurious Halloween.

Hello! I’ve had a bit of time off but it’s good to be back. Thank you for everyone who took the time to check out the past blog posts in my absence. While we’re already talking about other holidays.. my favourite time of the year is Halloween! I have always loved this holiday since I was a kid and i’ve been lucky to see the dramatics of how it can be done over in the US on multiple occasions. Here in the UK, i’m so happy that we’ve been starting to embrace this time of year more in the past couple of years, however it’s not for everyone, i know! If you fancy joining in but don’t want to completely redecorate to do it, then read on. I’m giving you 3 product picks today that are sure to create a tasteful (but still spooky) Halloween themed home! I will be bringing you a post on my house closer to the time and i’m excited for you all to see whats been created for this socially distant holiday. Keep an eye on my social media as I will be posting sneak peeks very soon!

For now, lets get into my picks for the spooky season whilst keeping a stylish home…

THE WHITE COMPANY

Starting off with a piece of decor that can take you through from Autumn to Christmas. These candlestick holders are beautiful and can help to create a dramatic spooky vignette or centrepiece in your home. They come in a powder coated aluminium for maximum durability and feature a traditional moulded shape. Some styling tips would be to layer them to books on a sideboard with a couple of small pumpkins or line them up on a dining table draped in cobweb style material! Switching out the typical white candlesticks to a colour such as red, orange, green or purple can also take elevate these to decor fit for a haunted manor. The tall candlestick linked here retails for £30 and its smaller partner pictured above retails for £20. It may seem like an expense for one seasonal holiday but if you consider that these could be a timeless piece, it’s not a bad deal at all!

THE FANCY PUMPKIN

Pumpkins are a must for Halloween but if you wanted to try something a little different, these velvet ones are adorable! The Fancy Pumpkin uses velvet material with a real pumpkin, squash or gourd stem to create plush pumpkins in various colours and sizes. Not only does that make them instantly luxurious but they won’t perish like a real pumpkin. After browsing the website, I finally chose a favourite and it was the Earth Trio set. Starting at £54 for a set of 3, these colours are able to transition from Autumn decor to a creepy abode effortlessly.

FLORENCE & FLOWERS ON ETSY

Heading over to Etsy, I found this Halloween wreath making kit by Florence & Flowers. You’ll receive a complete kit to make the wreath pictured, you can go symmetrical or asymmetrical, it’s customisable to your personal style. I loved the colour palette of the dried flowers in this decor and having the freedom to create this in your own way is such an innovative idea! You can always use this kit as a base too and add small objets or other florals of your choice to fit an existing theme but it brings all the drama on its own! The kit retails on Etsy for £45 + £6.50 shipping but as all the florals are dried, it has a long life in it as long as its cared for. More importantly, you’re supporting independent sellers by purchasing through Etsy too, it doesn’t get much better than that!

I hope you liked my top 3 picks above, if you purchase any or just check out the products let me know what you think in the comments below, I love to hear your thoughts.

Stick around for whats going on with my exterior home decor for this season. I have a big idea that’s nearly become a reality! Who’s excited?

As always, thank you for taking the time to check out this post and I hope you enjoy the other content featured on the blog. If you have any suggestions for future posts then let me know and I’ll do my best to create them.

Have a lovely week and I’ll see you very soon!
