Trend Spotting: Why choose bamboo?

I always get excited when there are new trends that help us and the environment collectively. So, today we’re shining a spotlight on BAMBOO.

There has been a HUGE increase in the amount of bamboo made products on the market. Household items, furniture, decoration, bed and bath have all introduced this material to their Summer line ups. Some things to note about bamboo;

  • Its the most sustainable resource from our planet due to its quick regrowth. It doesn’t need any fertilisers to grow as it regenerates from its own roots.

  • It’s Anti-bacterial! If that isn’t what we’re all looking for at the moment, I don’t know what is!

  • Bamboo has a soft silky feel when turned to material and can often be softer than cotton.

  • Much like Tencel, Bamboo can regulate temperatures keeping warm in the winter but cool in the summer, it’s pretty clever!

  • It contains moisture wicking qualities so can keep your body dry and quick dries itself, if using for items like bedding or towels.

  • Last but not least it’s eco-friendly and can be washed at a cool 30 degrees; that and it won’t crease as much as other materials during drying. That means less ironing, what a blessing for us all!

Some bamboo products can add up but from the research, its totally worth it! I mean if it didn’t sell you on the points above then think about how tough the product of bamboo is. That means the quality of those pieces are going to be an investment to your home, an investment I want to make! What about you?

I’ve done the hard work for you, here are some featured products that are on the market right now!
